K2Alpacas are based in Wicklow the garden county of Ireland, just 40 mins from Dublin’s City Centre and 50mins from Dublin Airport. We are centrally located to all the major attractions in Wicklow, including many scenic walks and bike trails. If on foot public transport will bring you to Newtownmountkennedy and we are a short taxi ride from there. Our farm has an abundance of wildlife, our self-catering cottages are modern yet retain the farms original character.
Yes, all treks are by appointment only. Treks can be booked here. For group/corporate enquiries, please email us at info@k2alpacas.ie
The treks are not suitable for children under 8. Please do not bring children who are aged under 8 with you (this includes children in pushchairs and carriers) as unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate them. Children aged 8 & 9 will not be able to lead their own alpaca but may accompany one paying adult (separate ticket) (please note – this is 1 child aged 8 or 9, per 1 paying adult). For Children 7 and under we have our Alpaca Meet and Greet Experience.
We generally run treks at 10am and 2pm every Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, we will add treks on some weekdays and school/ bank holidays depending on demand. Check our bookings on our website for the latest availability.
The Alpaca & Prosecco trek 2 hour experience costs €40 per person per alpaca. This will allow you to lead an alpaca for the duration of the trek.

The trek experience lasts for approximately 2 hours. The trek itself lasts 1 hour and we cover 2-3 km. As the alpacas are quite slow walkers when haltered, the trek is very leisurely and suitable for children from 8 years & upwards. For those with mobility issues our Meet and Greet Alpaca Experience is ideal .
We do not have a waiting or cancellation list, our treks are filled on a first come, first served basis. Check our Website for availability. We post up any cancellations that we get on our Facebook page here.
We have a Meet and Greet Trek Experience suitable for small children or those with mobility issues Check HERE for availability and to book.
Ideally it is one person per alpaca as for welfare reasons we don’t like to crowd our alpacas. Our alpacas welfare is paramount. We charge a supplement of €25 for an accompanying person. Note this is by exception for genuine reasons and must be requested in advance. We may not always be able to accommodate an extra so please check in advance.

Existing bookings
If you have booked a trek with us, you will have received all relevant information in the confirmation email under “Additional Information”. Please review this section carefully. In case of any questions, just drop us an email at info@k2alpacas.ie
Yes you can. You will need to give us a minimum of 3 working days’ notice in advance of your trek in order to receive a full refund. You can also put your trek on hold or reschedule to a time that suits you – subject to availability. We always give priority to rescheduled and on hold treks.
To change your booking email us on info@k2alpacas.ie with your booking details and your preferred date and time, please check our current availability HERE before requesting your date(s). A minimum of 3 working days’ notice in advance of the date of your trekdate is required to reschedule your trek free of charge.
