The Trek Experience is suitable for age’s 8 and upwards (8 & 9 year olds are unable to lead their own alpaca but can accompany an adult). It is suitable for all fitness levels and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Guided by Alpaca Joe and his team of trek buddies you will walk at a gentle Alpaca pace in the beautiful scenery. Our Alpaca & Prosecco Trek Experience is approximately 2 hours.

From the first email Regina was so helpful. We needed to book the event with a few days notice and it worked out so well. Thank you to Janet for the super Alpaca hike and all the information. We would recommend this as a work team building event, it was suited to all levels of fitness in the group.
Very friendly staff & very accommodating. I had happened to arrive a week early and the owner Joe ( i think), told me its fine to stay and he moved a few people around the groups so we didn’t travel for nothing, which they did not have to do. Great day out for all ages.
We loved our trip to K2 with the Alpacas.As soon as we arrived all the team were so welcoming. We really loved the trek and meeting our new friends. Joe has great stories and a wealth of knowledge. Really loved walking with Ben, Barry and Senan. Have not stopped raving about the day. Noah our grandson loved it so much. It was one of the most relaxing experiences and we can’t wait to go back.

Alpaca & Prosecco Trek – Group Experience information
Learn about the Alpacas history and how they came to end up in Wicklow. Alpacas are simply delightful, friendly, and curious animals, each with their own personality. Get up close to these beautiful animals. Be amazed at the wonderful properties of their ultra-soft fibre. Pet your Alpaca, look into their big brown eyes, hear them hum, feel the Alpacas tickle your hand as you feed them and grab your compulsory Alpaca selfies! Finish your trek with a glass of refreshing prosecco or juice and be amazed at the genuine Alpaca gifts in the Farm shop. The Alpaca Trek is a fun activity, and one suitable for children aged 8 upwards and is suitable for most fitness levels. It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

We ask for 50% deposit to secure your booking and then full payment is needed 2 weeks before the trek event.

Car Directions
Google Maps, SatNavs or Apple Maps can take you on unsafe roads. Best directions are:
Heading South from Dublin
on M11/N11 take Exit 12, signposted Newtownmounkennedy. Turn right at Church (The Church will be on your right). Follow road, go straight through roundabout, past GAA pitches on right & continue up the hill for 4.5 km. Continue to top of hill, opposite a left-hand turn signpost, is a small cul-de-sac (lane). Turn right here to arrive at our gate.
Heading North towards Dublin
on M11/N11, take Exit 16 R772 for Ashford and follow road into village. Use your SatNav from here. After you cross over the bridge, take a left at the roundabout. Follow this round for 6.5km, take a right at Ballyduff Cross, signposted for Newtownmountkennedy L1051 road. Approx 2km just after a Y in the road you will see a left turn into a lane. Turn Left this will bring you to our gate.
(Our Eircode A63 DX08 will take you on the correct route once you follow our directions above.
Open gate, come in and close gate securely after you enter. Follow signs to carpark.

Public Transport Directions
Take the Bus Eireann 133 bus and ask to be let off in Newtownmountkennedy at the Park View Hotel. You can also get the Go Ahead Ireland Route 184 from Bray or Greystones. We are located 4.5km from the Church. You can arrange for a taxi to collect you from Newtownmountkennedy, please see list above.
The TFI Local Link Route No 183 runs from Arklow to Sallins and passes by close to us. Ask the drive to get off at BallyDuff Cross and walk towards Newtownmountkennedy to find us on the left.
